Our Top 5 Nutritious and Delicious Breakfast Recipes

As most people are pressed for time early in the morning, we have compiled 5 quick and easy breakfast recipes for you. 

1) Overnight Oats

Oats are not only delicious but they are also very filling. The body digests oats at a slower pace, keeping blood sugar levels steady, energy up and hunger at bay for longer. Oats can be topped with endless possibilities to keep your bowl interesting and appetising.

Here is a recipe that you can prepare the night before, making it convenient to have breakfast on the go or at work.

Ingredients:

½ cup of oats

1 tbsp of chia seeds

1 cup of your choice of milk

2 tbsp of Vida Glow Beauty Blend

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl, spoon into a jar and seal with a lid. Pop into the fridge overnight. In the morning simply top with fresh fruit or honey and VOLA!

2) Super Smoothie

By having a berry super smoothie in the morning you are giving your body a great source of antioxidants which help to fight the signs of ageing skin. Berries are a great source of fibre and is important for a healthy digestive system.

Ingredients:

½ cup of blueberries

2 strawberries

1 cup of spinach

½ a banana

1 dollop of greek yogurt

1 tbsp of honey

½ cup of your choice of milk

1 sachet of Blueberry Vida Glow

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Can be made fresh or kept in fridge overnight to take on the go in the morning.

3) Egg Muffins

Breakfast muffins are great to prepare for the week ahead. They can be stored in the fridge and ready for that 'grab and go' breakfast.  

Ingredients:

4 eggs

feta cheese crumbled

½ cup of chopped spinach

cherry tomatoes chopped

drop of your choice of milk

salt and pepper

Preheat the oven and spray 6 cups of a muffin tin with cooking spray. Beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper together in bowl. Fill each muffin cup with an equal amount of tomatoes, spinach and feta cheese crumbles. Add the eggs mixture to the cups and fill approximately 2 thirds full. Pop into the oven for 15 minutes or until slightly brown on top.

4) Fruit Bowl

This is probably one of the simplest recipes to prepare as it is just a case of chopping up all of your favorite fruits and dividing them into containers so you can keep in your fridge. The ideal 'go to' easy munch in the morning. Add a sachet or scoop of your favourite Vida Glow marine collagen for that extra boost of protein to nourish your body from within. 5) Smashed avocado on toast

The beauty with them is that you can have avocado smash on toast topped with almost anything! Some of our favourites are halloumi, tomatoes, egg or salmon. A little spread of vegemite on the toast also adds flavour.

Ingredients:

avocado

crumbled feta

lime

salt and pepper

Mash all ingredients together in a bowl, spread on toast and enjoy with any desired topping. This can be kept in fridge.
